1969 Chevrolet Nova SS - 396/375HP L78

BUILD SHEET! 396/375 HP ENGINE! RARE ROCK CRUSHER M-22 4 SPEED TRANS! INCREDIBLE VERIFIED HISTORY!

Chevrolet called it "The Sleeper" in its ads back in 69, but one listen to the thump from this stunning Nova SS with its massive L78 396/375HP solid lifter, 11-to-1 compression, huge Holley carbureted big-block, and a look at its bright SS wheels, SS hood and big dual exhausts sticking out the back will make you wonder why.

So you want a rare, high horsepower muscle car with a verifiable history—who doesn’t? This car was sold by Breese Chevrolet in Liverpool, NY. Breese was a known hi-po Chevy dealer back in the day and sold at least 7 COPO Camaros in 1969. They’re still in business today. The original salesman who did the pre-delivery check out of this car is still alive and recently saw and verified the car. The 2nd owner of the car recently saw and verified the car also and couldn’t believe what he was seeing—he said it was better than when it was new. The 1st owner of the car was a Breese Chevrolet dealership employee. He only had the car a very short time and got so many tickets that his father (also a Breese Chevrolet employee) made him give the car back to the dealership. The name of the third owner is recorded also and he had it for many years. The vehicle was finally sold again to the 4th owner who had it until it was bought to be restored. Lastly, the gentleman who restored the car actually drove around in the car frequently when he was young (he was a friend of the 2nd owner). Of course, let’s not forget that this rare Nova SS actually comes with its original build sheet, a correct L78 drivetrain and mostly original sheet metal with the matching VIN stamp still under the heater box and another in the trunk pan.

Legendary, fire breathing 396/375 HP, solid lifter L78-option engine. Backing it up is a rare Muncie M-22 “Rock Crusher” 4-speed transmission and 3.55 geared 12-Bolt positraction axle. Beautiful Fathom Green exterior with upgraded stainless trim and black vinyl interior. Well optioned with bucket seats with headrests, center console, 8-Track stereo tape player (not currently in car but available) and AM radio, SS wheels with trim rings, power steering and power disc brakes.

Rare 69 Nova SS L78 car, beautifully restored, well papered and with verifiable history. Come and get it.
